This is a difficult question to answer even tough most modern Internet users tend to believe that they know what a CMS actually is. Most people would answer: "CMS is a system that publishes content on web and creates dynamic menus". Normally we have limit CMS down to what we call Web CMS (WCMS), that is in other words everything that can be used online on Internet. This term is restricts the area that we are working within and is more convenient when want to comparing systems.
